"American Sniper" by Chris Kyle, Scott McEwen, and Jim DeFelice Book Review

Since the beginning of the book Chris Kyle's inherent courage and strength to protect his people and especially to protect his family. He wanted to be beneficial to people whether it was entertaining them as a bull rider or serving his country to protect his country. When he first joined the Navy they belittled him because he was older than most of the recruits and thought that he wouldn't make it through the entire recruiting exercises that usually scare off any weak links. He was a candid man that was fighting for what he wanted and for what he knew was right. A lot of people on society to day should be more like him and fight for what they want and don't let anyone try to scare you away from accomplishing you dreams and goals in life. You shouldn't let anyone debase you just like Chris didn't let anyone debase him and you can become an amazing person and a hero to the people who matter to you.

When I become eminent in a place that I've worked in or at school I  feel like I've done something to impress people or like I've accomplished something because people know me for the good things I've done and for my personality. I exhort people to do what they want to do in life and encourage my friends to do good in school because I know that it will help them for their future. Chris Kyle did the same thing by helping injured soldiers that came back home from serving their country and lost a limb and I find that very inspiration especially since he was emotionally wounded. His facility to go help his brothers from war was amazing and he helped a lot of people except for one person who was not able to be helped. I think that not everyone can be helped until they are ready to be helped and to let someone in to help them and not a lot of people are ready for that. He is an epitome for all the people out there who want to fight form their goals in life or who want to be the best at what they do and stay modest about it. On the day of his funeral and many days afterwards millions of people extolled Chris Kyle for his amazing service in the U.S Military and for being an amazing person who helped bring peoples family members home and was an amazing father and husband. He is an amazing man who will be missed today and who has taught me to follow what I want to do in life and what I want to be known for and don't let anyone stop you from accomplishing it.

The Diary of a Young Girl: Anne Frank Book Review

The Diary of a Young Girl: Anne Frank is an amazing first hand document on what Jewish people had to go through and fear everyday of their lives. I learned about Anne's everyday life before her and her family went into hiding to save her sister Margot and stay safe as the rage of Hitler passed threw Holland and the war was over. They lived obscured in a secret annex behind a bookshelf where her father worked. The Frank family were always thinking of a way in which they could requite Mr.Kugler, Mr.Kleiman, Miep, and Bep Voskuijl for keeping their secret and helping them survive. When they first arrive3d they had a dearth amount of food but Miep would constantly get them food and other supplies they might need and they were very grateful for that. The family showed a lot of diligence during the working hours so they wouldn't get caught or start suspicions and so that they wouldn't get caught doing their small jobs so that they all contribute to the house hold. Mr.Frank made a discretion to allow another family to live with them in the annex especially since they were pretty good friends and neighbors.

When the family first came into the annex Anne abhorred them because Peter would always make fun of her and bother her in a way that Anne was never treated and wanted him to stop. Peter did a malefaction of reading a personal passage in her diary that wasn't about her day but about how she felt and she just couldn't believe someone could do that. As time went on she enjoyed his visage and he enjoyed hers and they began to catch feelings for each other. Near the end of the war they did a perusal of their chances to get out of those tough times alive and had very good faith that it would happen. But knowing Hitler's army and work men they knew that they would go through superfluous actions to find every Jew in Holland. With only a few months before the war was over they were caught because of a broken window from a group of kids trying to steal things for money. Anne Frank was the last one of the people hiding in the annex to die. Her father survived and continue to live untio he died of old age. Miep found Anne's diaries on the floor of her room in the annex and gave the to a man who announced on the radio that he was looking for any documentations or diaries or any writings from the people who were going through this terror who wanted to share their story. And because of this Anne Frank got her wish to be known long after her death for her writings and her life. This book taught me a lot about all the fear that Anne Frank and her family and everyone in that annex went through. I've always wanted to know what the Jewish people went though during those times and even though it was about Anne's day to day life I learned that even in hard times you live a life near your loved ones and be grateful for what you have when you have it because you never know when you are going to lose it.

"To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee book review

I thought that the book "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee was a very good book that I couldn't put down. I felt that I could relate parts of the book with personal experiences and with today's society. For example when Jem sees snow form the first time on pages 73 and 74 all he wanted to do was build a snowman and make the snow last for a long time. I feel like I can relate to this because I was like that the first time I saw snow and I'm sure a lot of other people were like that as well. It also reaches out to what grown up might feel when they don't understand their children or children in their family like uncle Jack went through. Uncle Jack went through a lesson with Jean Louise when she was fighting with her cousin Francis and he didn't listen to both sides of the story which is not a fair way to decide the rightful punishment for fighting. I think that Uncle Jack is a paragon because he learned from his mistakes and it encouraged him to want to have kids even though he didn't understand them all too well. This book contains a lot of life lessons that can remind us of old memories or remind us of the unfair things we do in life that makes people go through unnecessary consequences throughout their life.

The book also showed me how a persons opinion on how they view things should not change the way you view things all the time and that you should listen to what people older than you have to say because it could be for your benefit. When Jem notices through the perusal of Jean Louise that she had gum in her mouth, he mandated that she was to spit it out and rinse her mouth because she should not be eating something that she found in a tree. I thought that this was a good life lesson because now a days it isn't safe for you to eat something that you found because you never know what could be in it. The way people perceive you through your visage the first time they meet you can lead you to have obscured talents or skills because the person might not pay attention to you as much as they would view someone who impressed them. This is why the children became incensed when Mrs. Dubose told them that they would never get respectable jobs with what they were wearing that day even though they don't need to worry about those things yet. I think that Harper Lee was not superfluous when he explained the mood or the feeling of the characters when something happened or when they experienced something new. There wasn't a moment when reading it that I thought that there was a dearth in a chapter or a paragraph which made for an easy and compelling story. I was very jocund about the Boo Ridley house and the family who lived there because I was portentous in knowing that they would leave the house and that the kids would end up liking them.

Book Review of "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien

I think that Tim O'Brien is an amazing writer that uses his memories of being in the war as a way to inform people of the things that soldiers go through in war and how it can affect them. It shows the cohesive mentality of a soldier and how it keeps them alive and how it helps the soldiers form a special bond of brotherhood. I believe that his objective for this book was to teach people about the art of a good story and good storytelling. He tells us that not all stories are true and that every good story has some lying in it that makes it a more interesting and compelling. I thought that I was able to easily picture what was happening in the story because of the complexity of his stories and the emotion that he showed in each one. He consistently uses other parts of the book to help you piece the stories together so that you can easily understand the story if you feel like there are missing pieces to it and I thought that it suitably helped the book. In my opinion his usage of precise actions and emotions of the soldiers in the story really enhanced how I felt while reading it because it gave me a clear image of what was going on and in some stories I felt their strong emotions. You are able to feel the pain, the guilt, and the hardships that each of the soldiers went through. In the story "On The Rainy River" you read about the struggle that Tim O'Brien went through deciding whether he should go fight in the war or not and in my opinion it was one of the best stories in the book. What's great about the book is that each story takes you on a different journey with the soldiers of the Vietnam War.

I think that this book is a great first hand view of the Vietnam War in the eyes of the soldiers who fought in it. In the beginning of the story I learned about the things they would be carrying while they humped across jungles and villages. Each person had a certain discipline and were in charge of that specific thing to help the group if they were attacked. What they carried was based on what they were in charge of in the group of men they were assigned to. In many of the stories you can anticipate what the ending is going to be and what the person could have done to impede the outcome. I thought that some of the stories were relevant to my life because they talked about trusting people and how the decisions you make can form the rest of your life. I think this book addresses people who are looking for a good war story or looking for information on how being in war situations are like from a first hand opinion. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is looking for a good read. This is definitely a book I will read again if I am looking for a good story when I have free time.

My Analysis of "Advice to Youth" by Mark Twain

The essay "Advice to Youth" by Mark Twain is relevant to my life in many ways. The things that stand out to me the most are that lying is an art and always obey your parents. I do believe that lying is an art because constructing a great lie that people believe will be remembered. It can also get you out of many tough situations in your life until you can find a way to fix a problem or to excuse you from a place you don't want to be. I use lies to get me out of going somewhere or participating in something that I don't want to be a part of and things workout very well. Lying can be a good asset in the future if you use it properly in the right situations just like the man who took the credit for creating anesthesia from the person who actually mad it by lying and now he is well know as the man who created anesthesia. Obeying your parents is very relevant to my life because what Mark Twain was true ".. if you don't obey them they will make you.". From personal experience that is very true because whether you want to do it or not you end up doing it anyways. Parents always think they know best which is why they always make you do what they ask you to do because they think it will teach you something that will help you in your future. Mark Twain was right in a lot of ways in this essay and I think more kids should read hos advice because it is not the usual advice that people normally tell their children and it could be beneficial to them. They could also learn something like I did that they could use to their advantage
